No Coupons This Weekend

Since it's a holiday weekend, there won't be any coupon inserts in the paper. However, if you're in need of a coupon fix, go on over to We Use Coupons and check out the contents of the new P&G coupon book. This is the one that had a form to send away for in the 8/29 P&G (or found here) . It looks like it contains some great coupons! To have a look, just click on 'coupon resources' and then 'coupon previews'. All you have to do to earn this book is make a $50 P&G purchase and then mail the form out to request. Remember, this purchase does NOT have to be on one receipt and it is $50 before coupons, not after.

Today's Groupon--Not Limited to Toledo

Today's Toledo Groupon can be used by anyone. It's $10 for $25 worth of nuts, dried fruit or other treats from Nutty Guys. Since it's an internet deal, anyone can use this, not just people in Toledo. You can check their products out here.

What is Groupon? It's basically a buying group. Local restaurants, attractions, spas, etc. offer special discounts and pricing for people that buy the Groupon. If not enough people buy during the 24 hour period, no one gets to take advantage of the deal. If enough people buy, you get to take advantage of the hot discount/deal/coupon. This is an AWESOME way to try a new place or buy yourself something nice that you normally wouldn't splurge on. Just click the dessert above to get started. What do you have to lose?

Even if you don't live in Toledo, you can still check out your city's Groupon by clicking the dessert above.

Oops...and Some New Deals For Dollar Doubles

So...the plan was to come back and update you yesterday on some good deals. However, once I got the new Kindergartener home, discussed our day, made dinner, gave the kids baths and helped get teeth brushed the evening got away from me! The plan then became to stay up a little late and post a bit here. However, the older boys asked me to snuggle with them for a few minutes in their bed at bedtime (8:30) and the next thing I knew it was 7 AM. Oops! Guess I was more tired than I thought.

Anyway, here are a few more freebies/cheapies from Giant Eagle this week:

Cranberry or Cherry Raisinets $2.50 (use: $1/1 here...two coupons at this link)
Final: $.50

Roman Meal Bread $1.79 ($1/1 here)
Final: FREE

Campbell's Select Harvest Soup $2 ($1/1 printable was available a few weeks ago. Now gone)
Final: FREE

Mentos Gum $.99 ($.55 here. There is also a $.55/1 insert coupon but I apologize that I can't find the source)
Final: FREE

Betty Crocker Boxed Potatoes $1  ($.50/2 here, here, here, here or here)
Final: 2 for $1

Progresso Soup $1
This is a great deal! Since Toledo is doing $1 doubles this week, we're limited to 2 like coupons per transaction. Since the insert coupons are only $.50/2 I couldn't come up with a great deal for these. However, yesterday a $1/4 showed up on some sites. This is what the math looks like:

Buy 8 Progresso Classics Soups @ $1 each (only this variety works for the deal)
Use: $1/4 coupon here, here, here, here or here)
Final: 8 for $4 AND get a Catalina for $3 on your next order!!
Also, Progresso counts towards the buy 12 participating items, get 70 bonus boxtops for your school ($7 value). If you don't use these, please pass them on to me or someone else you know who uses them. These help the school tremendously!
